I’m very satisfied with the quality of the jacket, and the size fits me well. For Asian customers looking for a more fitted look, choosing one size smaller than the online recommendation may work better, although the sleeves can feel slightly tight.
The purchasing process was somewhat difficult due to the strict verification of cardholder and issuing-bank information. However, the patience and excellent support from your online customer service team completely changed the experience. What started as a frustrating purchase became a warm and pleasant one. Their service was truly outstanding and deserves recognition from the company.

Can’t say enough good things about the quality of Schott craftsmanship. This pea coat is sharp as hell and will definitely get some looks. The leather trim pieces are what set this apart from other pea coats but the tailored cut really makes this stand out. I’m a 40.5 chest and broad shoulders. I like my jackets pretty well fitted so I went with a 40 it is snug with another layer on but that’s the way this coat is meant to be. If you want something with more arm mobility you may want to size up or look at another style. I like it this way so it suits me great. I’m in NYC and it has been colder than a witches you know what but this has kept me nice and toasty. Love it!

First of all i love this coat. Looks great and warm. The fit as others have noted can be tricky. I am six foot, 170 and normally wear a 38 slim suit jacket with 31 waist. . Based on reviews i sized down a size to 36 and it was too tight around the shoulders and biceps. I exchanged for a 38 and that fits better. If you’re broad shouldered, have bigger arms, I would recommend staying true to size otherwise you can size down.

the arms are a little tight but that’s the style. the little details of this cost are beautiful. this is my favorite purchase.

I first decided to buy a navy peacoat after seeing the Netflix Show “The Madness” and the lead character (played by Colman Domingo) sport an absolutely stunning peacoat. After searching around, I landed on this specific model from Schott given its trim fit and leather accents. I was able to try the jacket on in person while in San Francisco and the staff in the SF Schott store was SUPER helpful. While I ultimately ordered the jacket online because they didn’t have my size in stock, I really feel like they were instrumental in helping me dial in the right jacket and fit. Given I live in Chicago and we are experiencing intense, subzero cold, I’m pleased to share that this peacoat does an outstanding job of withstanding the elements. I especially like the standup collar that looks great (with leather accents visible from the back) but is also quite functional in blocking the wind and cold. But it simultaneously is quite comfortable worn unbuttoned in much warmer weather (40s). The only minor nit I would flag is that the material does tend to attract fuzz and lint (especially when traveling), but not a dealbreaker at all. Overall, I’m extremely happy with my purchase and will be returning to Schott soon!

The fit guide suggested a 36, but I had to exchange it for a 34. The jacket has a slim silhouette overall, but I wish it were a tad slimmer in the sleeves and chest. I purchased this coat to replace the one I got rid of when I moved to TX 10 years ago (per my recollection, it was a slimmer 34). I won't be getting rid of this one. It will be a staple in my closet and become more comfortable when I break it in.

Amazingly good quality. I had to go up a size but besides that, I absolutely love this Jacket! I will enjoy it for decades to come.

Love this coat! I'm 6'1" 180lbs with 41 chest. Size 42 was great for me, except the arms were short for my liking. It isn't quite as trim/cut at the waist as the photos show either.
I took it to get altered and the arms lengthened about an inch and the waist brought in a little and now it is perfect for me - thankfully there is enough material to lengthen the arms. I would rather have purchased a long/tall version but this works out!

Hopefully someone similar build like me will find this usefull. I am 6.1, 175 pounds, 41 inch chest,muscular build with wider shoulders, but nothing overcrazy, slim waist. I like to wear my coat fitted, At first i ordered 42 by the recommendation from schott assistant. She was lovely but coat size was way off and the least to say is that i was swimming in it. No issues, i made an exchange and it went quickly, i took size 38 and it is well fitted and now it looks amazing. I do wear only one layer underneath so if you like to wear several layers underneath, then i would suggest one size down.

This coat is very well constructed and very attractive. The fitting chart is spot on.

This coat will get you compliments.
Schott quality shines through every detail and it will last a long time BUT….because of the leather trim, you will have to send this to a leather cleaning specialist (see garment care tag) and that’s going to cost more than a regular dry cleaning. $60 for me.
Just a heads up.
I’m 6’ 225# and the 48 affords me enough space for a sweater or hoodie.

This peacoat is bad ass! The wool is top notch as well as the cut and the other materials! Red lining is sexy! You can’t go wrong with Schott and I’ve been rocking their leather jackets since the 80s. Go get yourself a piece of rock and roll history!

Went to the Elizabeth St store to try on some peacoats and wanted to share my sizing experience. I am 6.1 195lbs and a 42 sport coat. I tried on a bunch of sizes. 40 would button up but was way too slim. 42 fit perfectly as a slim fit coat over a long sleeve T, but didn't leave alot of room for a chunky sweater underneath. Ended up going with a 44 because it left room for a chunky sweater underneath and had a bit of the slightly oversized luxurious look I am always looking for in peacoats/puffers/winter coats. Otherwise, the coat feels and looks extremely high quality.

I've been looking at different Peacoats and the Schott kept coming up in my searches. I ended up ordering the 740C. It came this week and boy did I make the right choice! It's absolutely gorgeous. I love the leather trim and red satin lining. I thought it might be too much from the pictures, but in real life it's spot on. It's summer so I haven't been wearing it yet, but this coat is the lead contender to be my favorite for years to come! Well done Schott!

I knew I wanted a peacoat but wandered around the internet looking for one for a while and came across the Schott Leather Trim Peacoat. It was just what I was looking for.

After confirming sizing with the Customer Service Rep, I ordered it and it arrived in two days!

First time I tried it on, I fell in love with it. Perfect fit and fantastic coat. It will be my go-to coat for many years to come.

This coat is fantastic! Yes, the wool is thick - thankfully. The quality of the build is amazing and a great value for money. The coat oozes quality and craftsmanship. This coat will easily last a lifetime.

About sizes: I entered my measurements (44 chest, 185 pounds and 5’8”). The online sizing guide recommend a 46 although, after an email to customer service and a (prompt) response, she recommended I get a size 44. That was fantastic advice. If your of a similar build as me (athletic) but skinnier, go with a 42. Based off my measurements, the 44 was perfect. Sleeve length, shoulder, chest and waist is perfect although the “wings” have a bit of extra fabric but would work well with a thicker layer underneath.

Awesome jacket, Great slim fit. You will get noticed (in a good way). However, it runs really small. My old peacoat was a 36, I ordered a 38 and had to return it for a 40.

It was a brisk morning at sunrise I came upon my package opened it and immediately put a smile on my face the red lining on this coat truly accents the quality of this coat :) so happy

Fabulous coat

I am 5'7" 140lbs and bought the size 34. The fit is good. I want a real peacoat to keep warm that wasn't just a fashion statement. I can safely say this coat is very warm and keeps me warm when temps drop below 45F. Depending on how cold, I might do a t-shirt, medium sweater, peacoat or just a light sweater and peacoat. Quality feels good. A little stiff but seems to be getting better the more I wear it.

I am 5'10, 145 pounds, usually between a 38s or 36r with suits. I sized does and got the 36 slim fit coat and I love it. The quality, the build, the design and fit are great.

I am always a bit wary of ordering something online because I never know how the quality will be and whether the return process is a pain. This jacket is exactly what I was hoping for. Very high quality materials and exceptional construction and style.

perfect winter coat, ordered it online and it fits perfectly (size 40 for a European 48), with a business suit worn under it.

I absolutely love this jacket, used the sizing guide and it fits perfectly. It came super fast I think maybe even the next day. Spend the extra hundred bucks and get something that’s made right! The red liner looks cool in the photograph but is way cooler in person! The sleeves and pockets have a super awesome leather trim that makes a huge difference in the look! If you’re on the fence stop hesitating, you’re going to love this jacket I promise!

My recommended size was 40 according to the sizing tool, but I ended up having to return that one for a 38. Fits amazing, looks classy. I'm still a little shocked I spent so much though..

The coat looks great, and it arrived very quickly, which is why the 2 stars (instead of 0-1). I followed the sizing guide and it fit great in the shoulders and chest, but the Fit through the waist/torso was huge (especially for something that was supposed to be sized for a “slim fit”). The sleeve fit incredibly tight, like wearing blood pressure cuffs from my shoulders to my wrists.

Thick, warm, stylish, well made. Has all the characteristics of a timeless great coat.

Try it on, the "size fitter tool" told me to get a size 40, but the 38 was a better fit.
